I’m not very skilled in computer science and my computer has been notifying me since yesterday that there is an error code = 5, access denied...
I ran a system scan with Norton but without results; it still indicates the same thing! Moreover, my screen has turned bluish...

I don’t know what to do anymore,
Could you please help me???

The bluish screen, could it be that your screen cable is not properly connected?...  What was the message regarding the infection? What is the title of the window that says 'error code = 5'?

Well, to be honest, it doesn't help me much, but the first piece of advice I can give you is to change your antivirus: Norton is not reliable at all, and apparently, it’s causing you this error.

Try Avast! Antivirus; it’s free for individuals, you just need to register on their website to get a serial number valid for one year.

Hello,
I have the error code 5 issue too, but my daughter set herself as an administrator thinking she was doing the right thing and limited it as well, and since then I don't know how to remove her or access my old files where everything is messed up. I'm desperate; everything I try to open, even to defragment, repair, or otherwise, is denied access, so access denied error code 5.
I even reformatted my PC and it's still the same.
I wonder what to do; it’s probably one of those damn viruses in the system. I don't even know how to run a scan because everything is denied to me.

Hello, For Windows XP, try the following command: start ==> run ==> type cmd and press enter, then in the command prompt try this: netsh w r a it's a restoration of the TCP/IP layer.

Hello, error 5 is a blocking system that restricts all access when you are connected to a limited account,
in other words, it is not an error; it is the computer that prevents you from installing or accessing anything.
You must absolutely have the administrator account in this case.
PS: there is no connection to any virus; Avast is very good and effectively detects viruses, especially with its automatic updates.

HOWEVER, if your limited account has a password, you just need to start your computer and press F8
and launch the "safe mode" (mode sans échec); you will access an account named Administrator and you can then go to the control panel to configure your account as an administrator before restarting the computer in normal mode.
