Error 80072EFE Windows Update Solved/Closed

Question

Hello

I installed Windows Seven on a "new" setup and I am encountering an error code when I launch Windows Update.

I tried Kaspersky to catch any rootkits, but it's an installation on a freshly formatted SSD... it didn't yield any results

I installed several versions of Windows: Professional/Ultimate... same problem

I have installed all drivers and I have no issues in the device manager...

I also tried the steps with crypto services, but again... same problem...

Anyway, I'm getting a bit frustrated, could a kind soul help me?

Hello,  The SP1 is not even installed... ;)   Download and install it --> SP1 Windows 7 64 bits

Download this --> WinUpdateFix  Run it as administrator In services, check that everything is started and set to automatic In selection, click on All and Run Restart the pc.    -- The human being is at its best when things are at their worst.

Restart by pressing F5 or F8
Choose --> Safe Mode

Upon reaching the desktop:
Go to C:\windows
Rename the folder --> SoftwareDistribution by adding .old
It should look like this --> SoftwareDistribution.old
Restart the PC.

Go back to Windows Update and check for updates.

Well.. I keep getting dumped every time because my version is newer than my DVD version
I'm going to try reformatting and starting over with another version of seven...

Hello,

A quick feedback if my experience can help others:
I was able to resolve my issue by installing a Windows 7 image that originally included quite a few updates.

The situation has been resolved and I was able to install the latest updates.
