Error 0x80048002 in Outlook 2003

Hello,

I have read the various messages that seemed similar to my issue, but I couldn't find a solution.

For the past few days, I have been unable to send messages via Outlook. They remain stuck in the outbox, and the following message appears:
"The task "personal folder - sending" reported an error (0x80048002): this task was canceled before it was completed"

However, I didn’t cancel anything. I haven't changed my habits: I type my message and then click on "send".

What is going on, and how can I get my messages out of the outbox and actually sent??

Thank you in advance.

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 8.0

It's incomprehensible: I deleted the info from the outgoing server and typed EXACTLY the same thing and now it works again!!

Somehow, I feel like saying my problem is solved but on the other hand, I really don't know what happened, what went wrong, and how it got fixed.... if the problem arises again, maybe just retyping the info like I did today will be enough.

And here we are, two months later, the same problem reappears... except this time, no matter how much I re-enter the outgoing server settings, nothing changes: the messages remain stuck in the outbox!!

Please, please, does anyone have a solution?

    Thank you in advance.

Which messaging service do you use? Hotmail, Yahoo, La Poste, etc.
That smells like an incoming and outgoing server error.

Well, it's a professional messaging system created by the academy, which therefore uses the academy's servers.

I thought of a server error too, but it doesn't seem to me that the settings have been changed. Furthermore, I have no problem receiving emails sent to the academic address: the "receive" command in Outlook works perfectly.

I'm at home right now. Tomorrow, I will still check the incoming/outgoing server settings. That might be a lead.

Thank you for the reply anyway.

It's probably true that this is it :) because I practically deal with all the messaging issues :)

Well, I checked the outgoing server settings and nothing has been changed.
When I click on "test settings," everything is normal, there are no errors.

I will compare my server info with that of a colleague to see.

The same problem here, I take some photos with my iPhone, I send myself an email to my work Outlook with the photos attached and here's the result.

The problem seems to occur when I send, with my iPhone, an email that is too large to my work address. This has happened twice and both times, I sent emails with several photos attached, but when I send 1 or 2 photos, everything is fine. I still haven't solved my problem though :(
