Hello, I have an HDMI cable and a Thomson flat screen. I would like to watch a movie on my television from my computer. I connected my HDMI cable to my computer and linked it to my television. I changed the channel and clicked on HDMI 2, but my television displays: "no signal". Usually, I proceed exactly the same way. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!!!!

Have you set up your computer to transmit the signal to your HDMI port?

Usually, you have a FN + ... key combination that allows you to switch from your laptop screen to a VGA, HDMI port, etc. For example, on my ASUS laptop, it's FN + F8.

  No, I haven't configured it. Do you know how to do it on a Dell running Windows 7? But I've never configured it; it used to work, but now it doesn't. Thank you for your help.

  Look at the small icons on your F1, F2, F3 keys... you should see an icon with a small computer screen and maybe a small arrow inside. Press FN (to the right of the CTRL button located all the way to the left) and the F key in question.

  Hello, we were talking about a Thomson TV, why are you talking about a computer?
  I have the same issue, HDMI port no signal, I’ve tried watching DVDs through this HDMI connection
