Mario Kart 7 pre-installed deleted by mistake

Hello,

I gave my children a Nintendo 3DS XL pack with Mario Kart 7 pre-installed on the console for Christmas. After several uses, everything was working perfectly, but my children went into the console settings and apparently deleted the game... What can I do to recover it?

    Thank you so much for this information! So useful...

    Here's a quick recap of the procedure:
    _ Make sure your WIFI connection is enabled
    _ Launch e SHOP
    _ Click on the menu (button at the top left of the touch screen)
    _ Scroll down to the PARAMETERS and OTHERS tab and click
    _ Scroll through the menu to DOWNLOADABLE GAMES
    _ Scroll to the game in question and choose to download in sleep mode or finish now
    _ Start the download and be patient!!!
    And there you go, it's done!

      Hello,
      Although I'm following this procedure, I can't start the redownload: an error message indicates that "either no SD card is inserted, or the SD card is write-protected."
      Since Mario Kart 7 was pre-installed on the 3DS XL when I purchased it, I do not have the game's SD card.
      => Do you know how to proceed to get around this obstacle!? :-)
