Hello,
My daughter's Switch won't read games anymore. I tried resetting it, but that didn't help. I also cleaned my games, but it didn't improve either...
The console is two and a half years old and is no longer under warranty. Cartridge-free games like Fortnite work fine.
The inside of the reader doesn't seem damaged; I compared it with a friend's, and both readers look the same, while the other Switch reads games just fine...
Thank you for your help.
Configuration: Windows / Firefox 89.0

Hello,
The link talks about PS2, but it seems that the issue is with a Nintendo Switch instead...
The Switch's problem comes from the card reader; here are the explanations from the Nintendo website:
https://www.nintendo.fr/Assistance/Nintendo-Switch/Depannage/Problemes-de-lecture-de-jeu-y-compris-le-message-d-erreur-Rien-n-est-insere-dans-le-port-carte-de-jeu-tous-les-jeux-ou-plusieurs--1686199.html
Possible solutions:
Make sure that the latest version of the system software is installed on your console. Look for available software updates for the problematic games.
Issue unresolved.
If multiple game cards cannot be read, the Nintendo Switch console will need to be repaired.
According to the description, the possible solutions have already been tried without resolving the issue, so you will need to have your console repaired. The big problem is that Nintendo charges a fortune for out-of-warranty consoles, nearly €200 for a simple repair.
I advise you to turn to independent repairers who offer much cheaper prices. I can recommend one that I have used many times for my consoles; here is the repair link:

I hope my message will provide you with the help you need to resolve your issue.
