Laptop in the bath

Solved/Closed

Hello everyone!
I'm looking for a component to be able to use my laptop in the bath. I thought about a board, but it's a bit risky.
The ideal would be to find something designed for the occasion where the laptop fits into a block and where the block would be attached to the bathtub without the risk of tipping over.
If anyone has any idea where I can find this, I'm interested!
By the way, would there be any risks of electrocution when using the battery?
Configuration: Windows XP Mozilla 1.7.13

A slightly expensive solution but one that could work:

A computer, a video projector that sends the image from the PC to the wall at the back, and a wireless keyboard :-)

If laptops existed in 1978, Claude François would not have electrocuted himself with his hairdryer...

    Hi,
Actually, I wanted to use my computer from my bath as well. I placed the PC within reach of the bathtub on a small table and bought myself a waterproof USB keyboard. I have to say it's really nice to be able to surf from my bath.

    Sleeplessness sometimes has its advantages...

    Well, here’s an idea:

Equip your bathtub with a small coffee table (which you can adjust according to the dimensions), place your notepad on it, and you're all set!...

    Of course
you need to avoid taking a bath during this time, and check that the faucet isn't leaking... But hey! A little ingenuity and voilà!...

    Thank you Mr. DIY

I would also add that if the water in your bath is very hot, the steam will penetrate the device and I'm not sure it will really appreciate that. So there would need to be a completely waterproof system... but I've never seen one... sorry.

    I didn't think I had posed a tricky question!
While searching, I came across supports for reading books in the bath. There must be something similar for PCs, but for now, nothing...

Actually, your post is also at the CCM café... So don't worry, you should normally get plenty of responses...

But maybe not the ones you're expecting...

    Hello

Well, without changing your phone (there are water-resistant phones), you can beforehand wrap it in plastic (the type of clear plastic that you seal with heat, like at the dry cleaners)...

Or you can leave the phone elsewhere and take a wireless keyboard (because, well, you might have wet hands...)

Next week we will explain how to make phone calls in the shower...

There are fans on your laptop.

Because if you seal the plastic airtight...

      ... BAM!

Actually, it either sucks up the plastic, so:

      ... SLURP!

      Or it inflates the plastic:

      ... FFFFFF!

Or both at the same time...

So SLURP! FFFFFF! SLURP! FFFFFF! SLURP! FFFFFF! SLURP! FFFFFF!

      Until the final BANG...

Not with him, with her, it's a girl (she takes baths, so she's a girl, I know it's a bit of a quick shortcut but I didn't think it through and if it's a guy, I'm not down for that so he'll have to submerge his phone)
A guy who takes a bath, where have you seen that????

Personally, I put it on a stool next to my bathtub with a towel available in case I have water on my hands, I just wipe it, I've been doing this for over a year and I haven't had any problems ^^

You just need to make a hermetic box out of plexiglass with a door sealed all around with rubber, and use a silicone keyboard that sells for only $9.99 at Tigre Géant, that's it, and place it on a board above the bathtub.

Hi, and I'm sure this will work, but if you need a mouse, you'll need to find either a hermetic trackball.

I hope this can help you...
