Hello, I purchased the MAGIX SOS VIDEO software and I'm unable to get the image from the VCR in the Magix window. Could it be a key issue? Thank you for helping me out of this hassle.

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 8.0

    Hello Glandu

I indeed have the equipment you described, along with the MAGIX SOS VIDEO 6 software. My connection is as you recommended. The problem is that the Magix page displayed on my PC comes from my webcam (where I can see myself struggling). I cannot play and record my video cassette. How do I use the MAGIX USB key?

Thank you for your prompt response.

    Best regards

In "import," you have 3 small windows; you click on the last one (the one on the right)
      there you go.

Hello Pacal, I just did the manipulation but the problem persists. When I unplug the cables, I still have the webcam. When I plug it back in as it should be: still the webcam. When I set the scart to in or out: still the webcam... Is it possible that it comes from the key or a port?

    Video transfer box
Hello, to transfer the content of an analog VHS, VHS/C, 8mm, Hi8 tape or an analog video stream, you need to connect the camcorder or VCR or other device to an "external box" that handles the conversion "hardware of the analog stream to digital", and you connect the box to the computer via a USB cable. The file is converted to MPEG2, a format easy to burn and compatible with all players, allowing for editing with "Studio".
Connect the box and camcorder using an S/VHS recommended connection or composite (less good) (RCA yellow) and a cord for sound (2 RCA red, white). For the VCR, you need a Scart connection with an adapter or cord with the "out" direction or with a switcher in/out, output S/VHS or composite RCA yellow (less good), plus sound, two RCA output red, white
Remember to select PAL to have color
I recommend the Dazzle box, either "DVD Recorder" only or Platinum depending on your needs
The price of the STUDIO 14 HD software (€61) supplied with this makes the product interesting
There are exotic products like USB keys with 4 wires, cheaper but be cautious, they are often a source of hassle, based on reading messages from desperate members on the forum
