Hello,
I have owned a SONY 800x digital zoom camcorder for a few years. Everything was fine until yesterday when I tried to use it! When I tried to open the casing to retrieve the cassette, I was unable to close it again. Do you know what kind of malfunction this might be and what I can do to fix this problem? Thank you for your help!!

Thank you for your response Glandu, but the cassette cover remains open, and I am unable to close it, so I cannot properly place my camcorder on the charger. When I turn on my camcorder, a message appears "re attach the power source", after translation (reconnect the power), I place my camcorder back on the charger block but since the cassette cover is open, it does not fit correctly. However, you mentioned a battery, this camcorder does not have a battery, you probably mean the power pack? I haven't used my camcorder for a few months, is it possible that the battery is dead? Thank you!
