Word spacebar issue that deletes

Hello everyone, Word problem

I must have made a mistake: in Word, I am in the process of writing a book, and when I type in my text, the new text does not get added but instead erases the previous one. For example, when I press the spacebar in the middle of a sentence, instead of adding a second space, it deletes the next letter! Why?

Thanks in advanceConfiguration: Windows XP

Maybe the Reprint mode is activated if you see RFP in black at the bottom of the screen, so press Insert once, it will turn gray and should fix the issue.

I don't have an "insert" key on my keyboard, but the "rfp" tip was super helpful!! It works perfectly!!
If, like me, you don't have an "Insert" key, click on the green ball in the bottom right of your Word document in front of the word "RFP3" until it turns gray ;)

Tagazoc to you ;)

In Office applications, including Word, you have a ? in the menu. Click on it and press Detect and Repair; it will perform like a reinstall and restore the default settings.

Test it and it works.

I have a problem with my keyboard. When I press the "O" key or the spacebar, it gives me dotted lines.
