If this can help others in the future:  For returning Freebox equipment for free:  Call 08 92 13 51 61 and then select option No. 1  Before calling, have your ID ready and open your email address.  Ask the online advisor to send you an email with the link to download the UPS or Kiala label to return the equipment at a collection point for free.  The email she will send you contains 3 links; you will need the 2nd one (to download the label) and the 3rd link (to find the nearest UPS collection point)   Here is the standard email you will receive:  Dear Freenaute, You wish to cancel your Freebox subscription. 1°) You must return the form available in your Subscriber Zone: https://subscribe.free.fr/login/ in the section "My subscription, Subscription, Cancel my subscription" 2°) We remind you that the Freebox equipment and its accessories remain the property of Free and must be returned within 30 days following your cancellation, at one of the UPS collection points of your choice:Specific link **3°) We kindly ask you to pack all equipment in a sealed box using adhesive tape and to affix the return label downloadable from the following linkSpecific link **To ensure safe transportation, please ensure that only one carrier label is visible on the packaging, especially if you reuse a box that has already been used. there is no specific link, you just need to access your management interface online, then click on the "my subscription" section, followed by "cancel my subscription". You will find a cancellation form that you can print and send to the following address:

You also have the option to return your Freebox once your access is canceled: you have 15 days to make this return, to: FREEBOX C/O PUBLIDISPATCH 91075 BONDOUFLE CEDEX and by registered mail, making sure to include the access number as well as your contact details, otherwise the Freebox and, if applicable, its accessories will be charged according to the General Terms of Sale.

I didn't need to call Free on their premium-rate number to get my label.
I contacted Free via their chat (5 minutes of waiting) and I received my email right after 2 or 3 questions.

I just went through the chat, which is a bit hidden (the video call is well highlighted)

On the page available after cancellation, I only had access to my invoices. I clicked at the very bottom to view my current phone usage, and the site navigation menu appeared. Then:

My support > [MANAGE] Shipments, exchanges, and returns of equipment (Freebox, accessories) > Sending or exchanging my Freebox or accessory due to a malfunction > I would like to obtain further information

And there, at the first link: "our online support service via chat, click here"

An advisor took my request and quickly sent me the email with the UPS label

The number 3244 is only valid if the account is still active; otherwise, you need to call 0892135161 (0.45€/min).
Being in the latter case following a request to switch to a new operator, I called this number on a Monday at 2:00 PM, and I immediately reached a very friendly operator who sent me the links for returning the equipment after asking me a few questions about my reasons for leaving.
Less than 5 minutes of premium-rate call to avoid the registered parcel!

Hello,  New Freebox termination procedure January 2019. As a reminder: -To cancel your Freebox subscription, the process was quite simple to carry out. You just had to go to your subscriber space, go to the "Subscription" section, and then click on "Cancel my subscription" to generate a cancellation form that you then had to print, fill out, and send to the address indicated on the site. -For all termination cases, at no time is the termination address refused. - Even if it sometimes requires patience, a customer service representative explains the new procedure.  The procedure: From now on, retrieving all documents will only be possible through a call to 3244 Have your Freebox identifier and hotline code ready. 1-Call 3244 Then choose →  Information on terminating your subscription  You will need to enter your identifiers on your phone as well as the service number that corresponds to your needs (here, the service "Information on termination") -Free then offers discount offers over different periods, depending on the subscriber's seniority level. Once the proposal is rejected, the customer service representative explains the new procedure.  Following the validation of the cancellation request, an email will be sent within 72 hours along with a return label from UPS. Then trigger the procedure quite quickly since the customer service representative indicates that after a few days following the receipt of the email, the information related to the termination would be deleted.  Extract from the email:   The novelty: It is the fact of obtaining, in addition to the form, a return label UPS provided by Free. Comments: Following the commercial proposal, if the subscriber refuses the gesture and still wishes to terminate: - A customer who truly wants to terminate, discount or not, will terminate in any case; however, this new procedure aims to offer a discount in case the price is the reason for the termination. If the customer continues to want to terminate, the process is initiated. - Free no longer uses Chronopost for return labels. -Free chooses to call back subscribers who generated a cancellation form. They are not obliged to do so. The general conditions now refer to a section that no longer exists! And to terminate, you have to call a number that is not toll-free (32 44: calls included from a Freebox line but not necessarily from another operator). Hello,  When you call 3244, the technical assistance says to press 4 to get the cancellation service... Problem: there is no 4 key in the menu, and it is therefore physically impossible to cancel a Freebox subscription! That doesn’t seem very legal... It just takes a bit of time to listen; these days we are too rushed. To access the service in question, you need to make the selections: 2 - 4 - 5  Ps: You never cancel a subscription with an ISP in advance when changing operators. You only cancel once the new operator is operational. (Otherwise, the portability request may fail). But if that’s the case, you can request the portability retrospectively from the Freebox account.  -- pistouri

Hello, my experience today: 0892135161 choice 2. The operator says I will send the procedure by email, tried on two different email addresses. Nothing was received. I didn't have the patience to continue until he said I tried again. Normally, the email should have been received at least on one of the addresses, so he must not have sent it. Since the dialogue process used is very slow (everything is spelled very slowly), it is probably a strategy to make you wait until a REAL sending of the mail (waiting for receipt) to charge the maximum on the phone call. Free absolutely does not deserve to be recommended for such practices!!!!!!!

Then ask for the UPS label. The representative will give you the address for the cancellation. She will initiate the cancellation and within 72 hours will place the label in your personal account space with Free. Be careful, not everyone knows the exact link for cancellation. I called 5 times. On the Face to Free app, they also wouldn't help.

I confirm that the correct number to solve issues is: 08 92 13 51 61. However, for the return of equipment: I have returned all the equipment. Now Free is asking me for equipment from 2009 (ADSL Modem V5). After several moves, I haven't been able to find this equipment and I find it very unprofessional to charge me for completely obsolete equipment. The dispute dates back to early February 2019. Still unresolved. By behaving this way, Free will sink. Not immediately, but it's inevitable. You can't mistreat consumers for too long. Especially when there is no monopoly... or collusion between operators.
