Hello,
Some updates listed below have been downloaded but cannot be INSTALLED:
Security update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB2596880)
Security update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB2596672)
Security update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB2597162)
Security update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB2596856)
Security update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB2596615)
Error code 0x80070663 appears every time I try to install them.
I searched on Microsoft forums and FAQs, online, but apparently, no answer can be found.
I consulted Microsoft support and found that I was missing two registry entries.
I followed the instructions TO THE LETTER to add them, I restarted the computer, I reopened system32 where the registry entries are located, but those two still do not appear among the others.
I wanted to repeat the operation, but these 2 new entries are denied since they have already been registered.
I used the search assistant. The others appear but not those two.
I am not a great specialist; I can follow instructions, but I do not have sufficient knowledge of the system to understand why.
So, what to do? If you could help me, I would be relieved.
Thank you very much in advance.
Béatrice

Hello BéaD,
Do a "System Restore to an earlier date" to undo your changes and also return to a time when the updates were working without issues, then try to install these updates manually. Let me know the result.
Best regards, Bridget.

Thank you very much for the efforts made to help me!
I tried some of the proposed solutions, but the problem is not resolved.
I tried restoring to a previous date, but it’s impossible to restore before August 15, there are no restore points before that date! And the problem was earlier, I had been trying to find a solution on my own for quite some time.
For the others, I struggled a bit and couldn’t manage to apply them, I’m not experienced enough to understand everything, and sometimes in doubt, fearing to create other problems, I gave up.
So I’m leaving things as they are, there are ultimately only these five updates that won’t install. I suppose it’s not that serious!
Once again, thank you very much for the time you spent with me.

Hello BéaD,
In case of a computer problem, it's better not to wait because after a certain amount of time, it's difficult to restore. However, a restoration before the two keys might still be possible since it seems to be more recent? We can then see together how to try to move forward. It's better to have your system up to date because that's where parasites infiltrate. I'm at your disposal.
Sincerely, Bridget.
