Incomplete restoration

Hello,

Hello, due to major slowdowns on my PC, I launched HP Recovery Manager for a system restore. The only problem is that once it's finished, it tells me restoration incomplete!!! and there's no other solution but to try again. I've done it 3 times and it's always the same thing.
The issue is that once I restart, I end up back at this since my partition has been formatted....
Does anyone have any idea??

    Oh yes, I forgot to mention that it's a Notebook I have, so no CD/DVD drive. ????

    Yes, that's what I did (it's the same steps except the screen isn't the same but anyway...) and then everything goes well until 100% and then it says incomplete restoration.

    try this

    unplug the PC from the 230-volt power supply, remove the battery, and hold down the power button for more than 10 seconds.

    reinsert the battery, then try again.

    Use the HP recovery CDs. The likelihood of it failing is low ;)

    Have you checked the HP website to see the restoration procedure in this kind of case?

    You should try to format your partition before starting a new restoration.
    Do you have a new CD or an empty USB (1GB is sufficient)?
    Or a Linux Live CD?

    Hello again,

    so I tried unplugging it, removing the battery, and holding down the power button for a few seconds, then I went through the procedure again, but it still doesn't work :s

    I was thinking of making a bootable USB drive with Linux (since there is no CD drive in my Notebook)

    actually, in the system recovery, there is a formatting part, so in my opinion, that's not the problem.

    Sometimes, this formatting is not sufficient; it is better to try to do it beforehand with GParted.
    Have you modified your partitions before?
    *Download this ISO of Toutoulinux: ftp://download.tuxfamily.org/toutou/ToutouLinux-431.iso
    *Format your USB stick to FAT 32
    *Put the ISO on the USB with UnetBoin: https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/22681-unetbootin/
    *Start your PC with the USB plugged in, press F9 to select it at Boot.
    *Check this link for launching, disregard the data recovery part: https://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/24285-recuperer-ses-donnees-personnelles-avec-toutou-linux (use a screen resolution of 1024x768x16)
    *Once on the Toutoulinux desktop, left-click in an empty area, System, Partition Management, Launch GParted.
    *In GParted, right-click on the Windows 7 partition, Delete.
    *Right-click on the Unallocated space, New, choose Primary Partition and NTFS,
    and OK. (If you have any doubts about the partition, let me know what you see before doing anything.)
    Once finished, remove your USB stick and restart to relaunch your restoration. No need to save when prompted.

      If he follows your procedure, it will format the entire disk and then he won't be able to perform a recovery (he doesn't have a recovery CD or a recovery image).

      Formatting 1 partition does not mean formatting a hard drive completely.
