GTA San Andreas won't start anymore. Solved

Hello,
I know that many topics already discuss this issue, but I haven't found what I was looking for. Here’s my problem: I used to play Gta San Andreas on Windows XP, and the game worked perfectly, then I bought Windows 7, and the game worked again for a day. The next day, I wanted to play, but after double-clicking on the game, it loads for 5 seconds and doesn’t start. I’ve tried some tricks I found online, but none have worked…
I hope you can find a solution to my problem.

Now, my game works.
Here's how I did it:
just open the start menu, go to the games section, and it should normally say San Andreas [AO Version].
You click or double-click on it and the game should normally start.

I have the same problem but for a year now
I have two computers: one XP and one Vista
GTA works on XP
GTA doesn't work at all on Vista anymore (it used to work before)
I think it’s since I did a Windows update, after a regular update.
I click, the mouse shows it's processing and then nothing.
Windows freeze due to the update? Graphic issue?
It still works on XP for me.
On a third computer with Windows 7, the same!! It won't start.
I should mention that I run it as an admin and with this compatibility thing but nothing works.

You probably need an update or a corrective patch for Windows, go check Windows Update.  -- I'm not great, but the clueless ones are great.
