Fifa 12 won't launch. Solved

Hello,

I got FIF12 in a box version. The installation went well, especially with Origin, but now when I try to launch the game, the configuration window opens, I click on play. Then, a date validation window appears, I accept it to validate. The window disappears and nothing happens after that. I’m left with the configuration window. I’ve clicked on "play" several times, but it doesn’t work.

Is there a solution to this problem? I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it doesn’t change anything and my configuration is more than sufficient.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 7.0

Good evening,

after posting on the official forum, some found a solution that I had to slightly adapt for it to work.

I had to copy and paste the fifasetup.ini file from my documents into the game's fifasetup folder and delete the fifasetup_default.ini (it wouldn't work either without deleting the default).

can you install it without going through origin? try checking with the firewall if it's not the one blocking otherwise, we should contact EA Sports

EA sold us an unfinished game with a bug on Origin
so the game doesn't work, we'll have to wait for an update!! For my part, tomorrow I'm going to rush to see my retailer (if I'm lucky, I bought a physical copy)
to get my refund (I'm giving you a phone number 0481680808 to show that they are well aware that their game doesn't work)

Procedure to follow:

1°) In "Origin," right-click on FIFA 12 and then "Check for updates"
2°) Right-click on the FIFA.exe icon in the game's installation folder
3°) Uncheck and then recheck "Read-only" and then confirm
4°) Relaunch the game with Origin and there you go ;-)
