Hello,

With Google Chrome, I want to prevent the deletion of browsing history. Because there is someone who uses the computer and always clears it, but since they don't know much about computers, can we remove the "Clear browsing data" button when pressing CTRL+H to display the history? I know there are other ways to delete it, but they don't know that. Thank you for your responses! :)

Configuration: Windows XP / Chrome 17.0.963.65

Thank you, but what I'm interested in is for Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

You need to modify the rights of the user account that is created by Windows.
This works on Windows XP, 2000, and Vista.
Press the Windows + R shortcut or go to Start, Run, then type: GPEDIT.MSC and hit enter.
Open the folders in succession: local computer policy<<computer configuration.
If you want this change to only affect the user account, choose: user configuration.
Then double-click on: administrative templates<<components<<windows<<internet explorer, then go to the right pane and click on: disable the feature: delete history.
Check the box: enable then click OK.
Restart the PC so that the changes take effect.
After that, normally the tools<<delete browsing history menu will no longer be accessible.

GPEDIT is not accessible. I'm on XP. And you gave me something for Internet Explorer, but I'm looking for it for Google Chrome or Mozilla.
