This is accomplished through 3 functions: 1) the input function: basically, you provide it with data through the keyboard, mouse, a scanner, a barcode reader, etc., these are the inputs.
2) it processes the entered data
3) it outputs the processed data: through the screen, the printer, a plotter, etc., these are the outputs.
