Hello,

I'm looking for a reliable website to order a laptop battery (DV8-1190ef). I have already ordered from FNAC and received a non-compliant battery that burned out after 1 hour of use...
I found the website Pcportablebatterie.fr http://www.batterie-pour-pc-portable.fr/batterie-pour-hp-pavilion-dv8-1190ef.html

But I'm wary of it because the payment method is strange in that they ask me to pay before they ask for my address or where I want my order delivered... usually personal information is filled out first.

Which site should I choose?
Thank you in advance.

I placed an order too hastily on the site batteries-pc-portables.fr for a replacement Asus battery. I had doubts because there were no contact details for the seller, no company registration, no request for customer information, etc., but payment was made instantly with PayPal. After researching online, I became worried because the site was presented as not recommendable, so I thought it was a scam since everything that was written happened, an email in English with an estimated delivery time of 15 days, battery coming from Singapore and by air.
I want to reassure some buyers that not everything necessarily goes wrong.
Indeed, I received my battery, and I thus made a saving of 50% compared to an original battery.
But I remind you that it is very important to be vigilant; maybe I was lucky or maybe it’s slander; in any case, for now, the battery works.

Indeed, not everything always goes wrong. It's a matter of knowing what risk you want to take and for what amount; if the amount is low, why not.

However, with batteries, the danger lies in their design. Even for well-known brands, we've seen in the news the problems they sometimes face, so when it comes to batteries, it’s better to have some guarantees. A battery without a protection system (a common practice in China with low-cost products) is a battery that can explode and either burn you or set your house on fire (as has happened not far from us).

I also don't buy my batteries from the supplier; it's too expensive, but I do some minimum research beforehand to limit the risks.

Good evening, how long did it take for you to receive your battery? I ordered mine over 15 days ago, my account has been charged but I still haven't received anything, I'm worried! Thank you.
