Here is the response

The installer has detected that this computer does not meet the requirements for installing this software. You need to resolve the issues..........bla bla

"This installer requires an IA64 platform. It cannot be installed on this platform"

To know, the PC is new! What is the purpose of this update?
And why is it offered to me if I can't install it?!

Thank you

re,
if it's seven in 32 bits there is no need for updates, because the update only exists in 64

re,

so there shouldn't be any problems, yet look at the post about update failures here:

Is it possible to do it on XP? I'm on seven, is it still doable?

re,

there's no need to look, I just saw that it's only for repairing Windows, not for updates, and it doesn't work for Seven. What version of Seven do you have?

best regards, a+

re,

like me then in 64 bits, it works for me, the updates are up to date and there are no failures, I don't see why?, try disabling the firewall like in Vista maybe that’s the solution

Hi,
yes, it's for 1 week, it's short for me, he is almost 2 years old and no problems, no reinstallation yet, still the same as at the beginning.

Best regards, see you later.

re,

oh good, with the firewall disabled it works, just like on Vista, and since it's the same improved base, that makes sense, but they could have made an effort anyway.

I'm glad it works for you.

best regards, see you later.
