Hello,
I'm asking for your help to solve my computer problem. It was working perfectly well last night, but this morning when I restarted it, I found it stuck on a white screen with "ACER" in green, and at the bottom it says: Enter Setup and next to it F12: Boot (I think), and I can't get any further than that. My keyboard is unresponsive, I've restarted it several times but nothing works, I don't know what to do anymore. My computer is a desktop type "ACER Aspire T671-PE7Z", I'm using Windows Vista, it's been around since 2006 and I've never had any problems until today, and I don't want to lose all my work data.
Thank you for your assistance, I would be grateful.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 536.11

Hello there!
The same thing happened to me with an ACER E571 that got stuck on the white screen, ACER written in green. I couldn't access the BIOS or boot from another device. The issue for me was due to a poorly installed update.
The following steps worked for my PC:
1) Unplug the power cable.
2) Press the power button for 5 seconds.
3) Plug the power cable back in.
4) Start the PC.
5) Access the BIOS, and choose "Optimized settings."
The PC started up.
I then reverted to an earlier restore point.
