Hello,
I use my HP Pavilion dv7-3120sf daily, which I recently restored to its original state (formatting / complete reinstallation). I have a dual boot: Windows 7 Ultimate N 64-bit + Windows 8 Release Preview 64-bit. Here is my configuration:

Processor
AMD Turion II M520 64 °C
Caspian Technology 45nm

RAM
4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 406 MHz (6-6-6-18)

Motherboard
Hewlett-Packard 363A (Socket S1G3) 63 °C

Graphics
Generic Plug-and-Play Monitor (1600x900@60Hz)
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 (HP)

Hard Drives
466 GB TOSHIBA TOSHIBA MK5056GSY ATA Device (SATA)

Operating System
MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Computer type: Notebook
Installation date: July 21, 2012, 21:24
Serial number: FJGCP-4DFJD-GJY49-VJBQ7-HYRR2

Environment Variables
USERPROFILE B:\Users\Antoine
SystemRoot B:\Windows

User Variables
TEMP B:\Users\Antoine\AppData\Local\Temp
TMP B:\Users\Antoine\AppData\Local\Temp

System Variables
ComSpec B:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe

OS Windows_NT
Path B:\Windows\system32
B:\Windows
B:\Windows\System32\Wbem
%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\
PATHEXT .COM;.EXE;.BAT;.CMD;.VBS;.VBE;.JS;.JSE;.WSF;.WSH;.MSC
PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE AMD64
TEMP B:\Windows\TEMP
TMP B:\Windows\TEMP
USERNAME SYSTEM
windir B:\Windows
PSModulePath B:\Windows\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\

Now, here’s my problem: I wanted to change my boot options, so I launched "msconfig", made all the changes I wanted, and when I clicked "Apply," I got this error message:

The system configuration cannot save the original boot configuration for later restoration. The changes made to the boot will be undone.
The specified path was not found.

Here it is in a photo:

I don't know what to do anymore, thank you for your help.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 16.0

Yes indeed, but that is no longer a problem.
Everything returned to normal by starting in safe mode and making changes in msconfig. After that, changes were possible when starting normally.

Hello,
I am surprised by the letter B assigned to the system reader. Usually, it's C:
