Deleting a screen name on AOL

Hello, I have a username on AOL that I can't delete; every time I click to delete it, it responds: "you cannot remove a username that has connected to an application." How can I do it? Thank you for your answers.........

    Here it is, I just found out it was really simple (once you know, of course lol)

    Here is the answer with the link to click on (I did it and ended up deleting my accounts!)

      Hello, I'm also unable to delete my AOL account usernames. I didn't manage to do it with your link either. Since I went through nine AOL options, maybe the accounts are blocked. Please help me.

        I've been having the same problem for two years.
        There's one of my secondary usernames (I have three) on AOL that I haven't been able to delete.
        Why one and not the other two?
        Mystery!
        And the worst part is that nobody has managed to find the answer.
        Technical issue? Apparently nothing abnormal since I have removed the other two secondary usernames without any problem.
        So, impersonated username? Impossible to know.

        In short, a real puzzle.

    Is this a secondary nickname?
    Delete it from your main nickname.

      Hello, thank you for your response, but that would be too easy; in fact, I didn't explain myself well. Yes, it's a secondary username, but even when I go to my main username, I can't remove it. When I click to remove it, a message appears: "You cannot remove a username that has connected to an application." Thank you for your responses.

    You go to your main username, then you go to the username
    after that, delete the username in question and that's it, if not, call SFR, they can delete it themselves.

    Hello,

    To delete an AOL account that was created back in the AOL software and not directly on the internet, you must have downloaded and installed the AOL software (for example, 9.0). Once installed:
    - Open AOL 9.0
    - In the address bar at the top, type: https://names.aol.fr/names.adp
    - Then choose from your AOL screen names the one you want to delete (note that the main screen name can never be deleted).

    Another method:
    - Go to "Settings"
    - Choose the "A-Z" tab
    - Then choose "P-Z"
    - Finally press "Screen Names", you will then access the same page.

      Hello, no I still haven't succeeded, still at the same point. I can't figure out the application. I've looked everywhere. But I'm not a pro. Or maybe someone is logging in with my username, I don't know, so many possibilities!!!! And AOL isn't responding to me. Thank you.

      Hi there, I’ve done both, but I can’t reach them by phone; I keep getting cut off, the minutes go by, and then I’m disconnected. As for the email, I managed to get through, but I won’t tell you how many times I tried. Anyway, just to let you know, they acknowledged receipt, and normally—I'm saying normally—I should get a response within five days. I’ll keep you updated, if of course... Otherwise, I’m still at the same point. And you, have you received a response? Maybe you have better luck than me!!!!!

    Coucou, j'ai un pseudo secondaire que je voudrais supprimer, mais je n'ai plus AOL. Ils ont cru que j'avais déménagé à cause d'une résidence secondaire où j'ai pris le NEUF CEGETEL, donc ils m'ont résilié à ma résidence principale. Après une communication téléphonique avec eux, ils m'ont remis INTERNET, mais c'est le NEUF. AOL est impossible à récupérer suite à la fusion avec le NEUF. Avez-vous un problème identique au mien ? Comment m'en sortir ? Si vous avez une solution, elle est bienvenue. Noëlle 60

    After the link you gave me http://aolassistance.aol.fr/assistance/compte.do I reached Chloé assistance, she tells me that I am logged in outside of the AOL software. This is normal, due to their wrongful termination, I am now on "LE NEUF". I tried to log in to the main account of Neuf, and Chloé says "I'm sorry, I don't have an answer to that question, she is in training"
    I believe it will be impossible to delete my secondary account unfortunately

    On your main username, click on keyword < go to keyword and type username
    And try to delete it.

    following your reply since I am no longer an AOL customer but with NEUF (AFTER AOL-NEUF FUSION) I cannot find "KEYWORD" on my homepage like before on the AOL opening page.

    Hello,

    Due to issues encountered on my PC, I can no longer connect to my main username created when I subscribed to AOL. Currently, over 200 messages are stuck there, and I cannot delete them or even delete this main username which is no longer useful. I have now switched to NEUF-AOL, but this username is still there taunting me. How can I permanently delete it, especially since I have two other main usernames that I use every day?

    I am therefore awaiting your valuable assistance to help me get rid of this username that is no longer useful.
