Power supply issue firecracker noise

Hello,

I recently ordered a power supply and received it today, but after plugging it in, I decided to start the PC and I heard a loud pop (which caused the whole house to go off). I decided to test it again with the old power supply to see if it got damaged, but it worked fine as before.
I would like your help to figure out where the problem might be?
P.S.: the power supply I bought no longer wants to start.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 13.0.1

Hello,
For me, it would be one of the capacitors in your power supply that has exploded, a defect that can happen.
If you bought it recently, I recommend sending it back under warranty, without tampering with it especially!
