Hello,
So, for the past two or three days, I've been having a little problem with Excel, and I will try to describe the issue I'm encountering as best as I can.
First of all, please note that I'm running on Windows Vista and the version of Excel I'm using is Excel 2007.
Before the issue, when I would "copy" a cell in Excel, the cell would normally be highlighted while waiting for me to paste it into another cell or even several. Today, it highlights when I "copy," and then nothing happens.
If I "copy" to a single other cell, it works but without the formatting (for example: the cell border or even the "Bold" format).
Also, if I "paste" into multiple cells, for instance, let's take 5 cells, I get the following error message:
"The size and shape of the data on the Clipboard do not match the selected area. Do you want to paste the data anyway?"
So, I have the choice between "OK" and "Cancel", and of course, I click "OK" but it only works on the first cell of the group, that is, one out of the five selected cells and still without the format.
Before, when I copied and then would use "Paste Special," I had a whole list of options, but now I only have the choice between "Unicode Text" and "Text."
That's it, if I find any other issues, I will post them on the forum afterwards.
If someone can help me, that would be really nice, I'm really struggling and I imagine it's an option that's gone haywire, but I can't find it.
Thanks in advance.....
PS: Oh yes, I'm not a computer pro, but I'm not a complete newbie either, so just if I don't understand all the steps, I might ask you again for help ;-)
