Hello,
I recently (in February) purchased a Vaio laptop, and yet it is very slow. I had a Mac before, so I thought it might be because of that, however I'm wondering if it might be infected, because it’s really very slow!
Can someone help me?
Configuration:
intel core i5-2430M, 2.4 GHz
Windows 7 Home Premium
8GB of RAM
Let me know if you need to know anything else?
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
Welcome to CCM!
We're going to try to solve your problem together. First, a few reminders:
- Don’t open other threads for the same issue (whether on this forum or another)
- Don’t hesitate to ask questions if needed ;)
- Be patient when you post a message; I don’t respond instantly: I’m a volunteer and I'm not always in front of my computer. But rest assured, I never give up on anyone ;)
- The disinfection (if necessary) will take place in several stages. Even if the symptoms of the infection disappear, disinfection will only be complete when I confirm it to you --> Please come back until the end; otherwise, what we've done won't have been effective.
Start by using this diagnostic software; it will allow me to help you:
- Download ZHPDiag (by Nicolas Coolman)
- Run it (if you are on Windows Vista or Windows 7, do it by right-clicking --> Run as administrator)
- Follow the instructions during installation (remember to check the box to create a shortcut on the Desktop)
- It will launch automatically at the end of the installation
- Click on the icon representing a magnifying glass (“Start the diagnosis”)
- Save the report on your Desktop using the icon representing a floppy disk
- Go to this site, click on "Browse," select the ZHPDiag report, and click on Send the file. Wait during the file upload, then copy/paste the provided link in your next response on the forum.
