Hi,
Thank you for your reply, but I wasn't looking for the crossfade, I was looking for the fade to black. And I found the answer by myself: this transition is called "color fade," and you can even choose the color.

Hello,
I wanted to provide a clear response despite the time that has passed, as it is not really resolved.
To finish with a black fade, you need to select the cut in the timeline where you want to apply it, right-click and show the video animation.
After that, you will see that the opacity settings are available for both entry and exit, allowing you to create a fade.
There you go :)

Hello,
For the crossfade, right-click on the piece of your choice and then select "add crossfade" (or Command+T).
Two gray cuts will be added at the beginning and the end.
Select the first one and delete it (that’s the crossover with the previous sequence).

Good evening,
I have AVS video editor, if Final Cut has the same functions, it's in the "transition" task.
Be careful, there could be hundreds of transitions; you need to view them one by one, it takes time, good luck...
However, since I plan to use Final Cut one day, I’m very interested in exchanging information with you or someone else to compare Final Cut and AVS video editor. Already, with AVS video editor, it’s used with Windows, whereas Final Cut only works with Macs, I believe, right?

Otherwise, I just watched a clip explaining the famous software Final Cut, it is very complex and it's great, at the link: https://www.videoeffectsprod.fr/DaVinci-Resolve-11-Presentation-de-la-page-Edit-7_a818.html#.VPeCGyx77dF .
The host talks about special effects and fades, it is indeed in the transitions feature.
