Toshiba laptop won't turn on anymore.

Question

Hello, I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop that I bought 3 years ago which shut down by itself, and it won't restart. When I plug in the power supply, the hard drive and power indicator lights do not turn on. I've tried quite a few solutions and I'm at a loss; there are a lot of files on the hard drive that are important for my studies and I need to recover them. Thank you in advance for your help.

is it not working or not starting ??? before changing the inverter test it on an external monitor (fn+F5) but otherwise a classic technique:

disconnect the battery, press power to discharge the motherboard, plug in the power supply, reconnect the battery and here’s the little extra: hold down the BACKSPACE key for Five Full Minutes

turn it on... bingo the computer works, well I had both issues, my inverter is also dead but it works perfectly on an external monitor

I tried this method, but the problem is that when I plug in the power supply, no light turns on, the one that indicates that the computer is plugged in.

I have the same issue, Toshiba c870 won’t turn on, no lights, nothing.
It was working fine and suddenly turned off!

If anyone has any information..... I really don’t want to send it to the after-sales service given
the very bad reputation of Toshiba’s after-sales service...

This is a faulty component of the Toshiba (NECTOKIN OE907 or 128).
I had the same problem with my Toshiba A300. You just need to buy 4 capacitors to replace the part. You will find plenty of information online as well as the parts on eBay!

a BIOS battery looks like this and I believe this is the problem.
my battery looks like this:

try changing your battery and turn on your computer. My Toshiba Satellite P300-28C is 7 years old and it doesn't want to turn on.
when I charged the battery (by boiling it in water) the PC lit up the lights so that's a good sign.
So change your battery +D
