ASUS laptop that won't turn on

Good evening everyone,
I have a problem with my ASUS laptop that I bought just over two years ago.
It won't turn on and shows no signs of life.
I have a mouse that has been showing signs of bad contact for a little while, and today I plugged it into my laptop and the laptop shut down abruptly, and since then I can't turn it on.
Is my laptop dead?
I don't know anything about computers and I'm looking for someone who could inform me and tell me what I could do to recover my laptop.

    • 1. Unplug the power supply and battery;
    • 2. Press the "power" button for at least 20 seconds;
    • 3. Plug the power supply back in and try to turn it on.

      Well indeed, hats off, it works very well.

      A little clarification on my part after several unsuccessful attempts, I removed and then reinserted the battery and "yippee"... the PC started up again.

      A big thank you for this tip, which seemed more than silly before I tried it, but which was very helpful to me.
