Hello,
After going through the various available responses on the subject, I solved my driver installation problem using the drivers designed for XP (see available link + port change). Everything worked fine until today (for about a week). Since this morning (by what miracle?!?) I can no longer print anything, neither a test page nor anything else (I printed the test page without any problems before). Has anyone faced this issue? If so, is there a solution?
Thank you in advance for your responses.

Hello,
Indeed, some information is missing, let me clarify a bit:
1. What was the problem originally?
Initially, the idea was to get a driver to work for a HP Laserjet 1010 under Windows 7 (which HP does not support). Here is the response that allowed me to get the printer working:
"The simplest solution is as follows:
1- Connect the printer via USB under Windows 7 64-bit, it is then detected as an unspecified device.
2- Right-click to go to "properties", click "hardware" and again "properties". Click "change settings" in this new window.
3- In the window that then appears, click "update driver"; choose "browse my computer for driver software" and then "let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".
4- In the list that appears, choose "printers".
5- In the add printer wizard that then appears, select HP and choose the model "HP Laserjet 3055 PCL5". Click "next" and the driver downloads automatically. HP 1010 works perfectly with this driver (which HP conveniently does not communicate since they want to sell as much as possible!)."
2. What is the download link used before choosing the software for XP?
Here it is, it's the standard link to the supplier's site:
Download the driver for XP "(ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software8/COL4313/lj-14158...)"
3. What driver for XP was chosen and where is it from? See above
4. What is the exact and complete name of the operating system of the computer?
Windows 7 Ultimate
5. Is the system type a 64-bit operating system?
No, apparently it's 32-bit, however I doubt this because I tried in 64-bit and it worked. I find it strange that it worked for a while and then nothing...
If you have any ideas or advice, I’m all ears!:-)
Thank you for your feedback anyway.
Best regards.

I had exactly the same problem as you, my HP 1010 worked for a few days and then nothing. Did you find a solution?
Thank you
