Hello,
I have a Samsung YP-U3 MP3 player that won’t turn on. I connect it to the computer; everything works fine, but as soon as I try to turn it on (without being connected to the computer), it won’t power up. My brother tried downloading something, I’m not exactly sure what, but here’s the link: https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/FM/200709/20070918123430953_YP-U3_HowToUpgradeFWEU_FR_US_070822.pdf
Before that, he used this: http://www.samsung.com/fr/support/model/YP-U3JQL/XEF-downloads# But I don’t know how to proceed, and sure, it’s from 2007 or 2008, but I’ve hardly ever used it.
What should I do, please?!

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 9.0.1

    Hi,

I had the same problem, and I was able to solve it by simultaneously pressing the top 2 buttons "PLAY" and "USER" (the recording button with the small red dot).
I found the answer on an English-speaking site (DONT THROW IT AWAY!!!!!!!!! push hold button and the play/rec buttons, this will reset your system, and then! tchakã! ok again!).
There you go, I hope this helps anyone else with the same problem.

Meyleen, have you solved your problem? Because I have the same issue as you, and the nada 12 technique doesn't work for me.
    Thank you in advance.

try plugging it into a USB wall outlet, it might work, just a tip from an expert

C'est la batterie qui est morte car j'ai démonté mon MP3 et j'ai enlevé la batterie. Je les ai connectés à l'ordinateur et cela remarche. Il suffit de racheter une batterie et cela refonctionnera.

    Hello,
I had the same problem.... I thought the MP3 was dead for years and now I've just connected it to my computer. The blue light came on and my computer recognized it (I could see the content) but (there's always a 'but') as soon as I unplug it, nothing works. The MP3 doesn't even turn on. I've tried pressing Play & User simultaneously... nothing happens.
I think the internal battery is dead...
Is it a rechargeable battery? Do I need to keep the MP3 connected to the computer for it to recharge (even though it shows battery power at 100% in the properties!)
    What should I do?
