Hello,
I can hardly access my Facebook account anymore. The loading time is endless.
I don’t have this issue on other sites (the speed is normal).
A friend logged into his own Facebook account from my place, and he had no problems.
Thanks in advance,

Hi, the problem with slow Facebook is often due to an IPv6 issue
1 --> Go to: Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center
2 --> Click on your network connection
3 --> Go to properties
4 --> Go to the "network management" tab and disable "Internet Protocol version 6 (TCP/IPv6)"
5 --> Click on the OK button
There you go, I hope this will work :)
Have a good evening and keep me posted!

Hi Babacool-13,
I'm following your steps, but when I get to step 2, clicking on network connection, what exactly do I need to click on? I click on my modem, and then I have 6 different choices, and I right-click on some of them. Some have properties and others do not, but in none of the cases can I access the network management tab.. :/
Can you help me out, please? I'm on Windows 7.
Thank you for your response.
Have a good evening.

It's the same for me, all the sites other than Facebook are working very well, so we can very well assume that it's Facebook that's having issues, and it will most likely be fixed soon.

IPv6 protocol disabled on the Mac and PC, it seems to work much better.
Thank you very much for the info!
(but what is that damn protocol for? What difference does it make to disable it???) -
Hi,
Alex59000, you need to choose your connection (the RJ45 one preferably)
monsieur752, since I can't explain everything in one post, read this and you'll understand https://www.commentcamarche.net/contents/524-le-protocole-ipv6
Have a nice day :)

If I understand correctly, IPV6 is supposed to be an improvement that allows more and more computers to connect to the internet... But it conflicts with FB's connection protocols, and progress is turning into a hassle. Haaa... Technology.
Anyway, I can access my FB account again. Thank you very much! -
Hi,
It seems that the issue might be related to IPv6 and the absence of IPv6 DNS configuration on our end. All we need to do is set the OpenDNS IPv6 DNS.
Have a nice day :)
