How to remove a friend on Facebook?

Thank you for helping me understand the procedure for removing some of my contacts on my Facebook.

I can't see that. Could you take a screenshot to show it because an image is clearer for me? Thank you.

I don't know how to take a screenshot on this forum, I need to send it to you in a private message by

Here are the steps according to the old layout (not the journal):

Go to Facebook,
1) Click on your name at the top right of the blue bar (to the left of Home)
2) You will then arrive on your personal page
3) In the left margin, you have your photo and below the links stacked vertically: Wall, Info, Photos, Articles, Friends
4) Click on Friends
5) A list of your friends will then appear in one column
6) Next to each name on the right, there is a gray button with a checkmark that says Friends
7) Click on this gray Friends button
8) A dropdown menu appears and at the bottom of the last line it says: Remove from Friends list
9) Select that

Let me know which step number you get stuck on.

If you can, by putting the screenshot you took in an image editing software, save it and go to an image hosting site and paste the link here. :) As for the issue, it's all the numbers from 6 to 8 because I don't have everything you mentioned. :( Anyway, thank you for your patience. :)

If it appears in the form of a journal:
1) You need to go to the friend's wall
2) below the large banner photo, hover over the word Friends
3) a dropdown list will appear and click on Remove from Friends List at the bottom.
