Send an email from WORD

Hello,
I am trying to send a document Word from the application using the save and send as attachment function and I get the following message: Word could not send the message due to a MAPI failure: unmanaged operation.

This started happening after an update. It was working very well before.

My default mail client is Outlook,

My email accounts are POP3.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

Have you tried uninstalling the latest updates that were installed?

In fact, the problem has been there for at least a month. There have been several updates since then.

Uninstall the Office pack to see if the problem is indeed coming from the updates to check.

I uninstalled the Office pack from January 13, 2012 (for Office 2010) and the problem is resolved. However, there are many changes made thanks to this update. Is it possible to isolate the issue to benefit from the other updates?

Yes, you can deselect the update in the Windows Update list if you know its title, of course.

here's what I did: I reinstalled the Office suite and this time, I found that I could continue to send emails directly from Word.
Conclusion: probably the installation of the suite didn't go correctly the first time.
