Beats Detox Headphones: Fake or Not?

Solved

Hello, I am about to buy a used Detox Beats headset, but the seller is not sure if his headset is real or fake.

After several tutorials, I am still not sure if it is real or fake (two details shocked me, the cable is twisted towards the jack normally, with his towards the middle, and there is a missing paper, the one with the woman).

To check if his headset is real, there is the serial number, but his was a gift, so it's impossible to verify with the seller.

If anyone has a technique (knowing that I haven't seen the headset yet, only 20 photos) to find out if it's real or if the details I mentioned are proof of a fake.

Or buy a new studio headset at SFR.
Best regards!

It's very simple to recognize a fake Pro Beat or Detox headset from the real one!
When you want to store the fake, the rotation of the speakers goes in both directions.
On a real one, they rotate each in the opposite direction of the other.

There are different ways to distinguish a REAL Beats Detox from a FAKE:

_ On the real ones, the "BEATSPRO" is attached unlike the fake Detox
_ When you open the headphone box, in the part where the manuals are located, first make sure that the first manual is the woman with the headphones, otherwise the headphones are fake
_ On the fake Detox headphone box, the headphones are slightly depixelated on the sides
_ On the real Beats Detox headphones, the wire is wrapped in a film, with the back and front of the wire consistently sticking out
_ The headband is hard on the fakes and soft on the real ones
_ The larger jack adapter is in a bag
_ On the real headphones, almost the entire product is covered with protective plastics for the headphones

Hello, so if it's written on top of the Dre Detox headphones, it's a fake then.

I was hesitating to get a new one, but I don't really want to pay 300 for a headset that normally costs 200 (since you're paying for the brand). However, I can add photos if you know about it...

(And I confirm that only the cable and the book are missing; I was given the serial number, but it's impossible to verify without the retailer.)

It's fake, there's no picture of the woman in the fakes and the cable is not twisted in the middle.

It's a woman inside, Kams, go throw yourself, my old friend.

If you're afraid it might be a fake, don't take any risks and go buy a new one at SFR. Anyway, it's up to you.

Even if it's a gift, there should normally be a serial number on the headset and on the box.

I'm in a shitty country where guys know if things are real or fake. I'm the one managing in these crappy stores where they sell crap with crappy salespeople. So today is Wednesday, June 28. Tomorrow, I'll manage.

The serial number is usually located inside the headset on the inside of the earcup.

I am told that the code is wrong and to report it =/ so I think the best way is to buy a new headset.

Ah, yet I took a reseller at random (except I don't know the country, the seller told me probably US) and if someone has a REAL beats detox, can I ask them a few questions? =3

Well, just try with the USA. As long as they tell you that your serial number is valid, that's all good :)

You must hear the difference in audio quality between a real and a fake.

Personally, I haven't made the comparison, but the difference between the two should not be limited to just a page with a woman on it and a few aesthetic details...

Listen to a wav sound with the headphones and you'll immediately hear if it's worth its price!

And a small tip for those looking towards such expensive headphones, it's not with an iPhone that you'll fully exploit the capabilities of this type of headphone... it's better to have a good sound card...

I just bought a Detox by Dr. Dre Beats headset from a friend. When I bought it, he gave me batteries for the remote (Energizer) so I could enjoy the sound right away. So far, no problem, the headset works great.

The detoxifier doesn't have a pilevc with the studio.

If you have the serial number, don't worry, you can check on the Beats website https://www.beatsbydre.com/ even without the retailer. You can put any retailer at random, it works very well, I've already tried it ;)

Hello, I'm on the site to check the serial number but I can't find how to do it.

Can you give me more explanation?
