Hello, I've been having a problem for 2 days with my Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones.
So, the sound only comes out of the right side and I can't understand what the problem is, and I also can't fix it. I would like to know what the problem is, how to fix it, and if it needs to be repaired at any store, what the repair cost would be.
Thank you for your help.
Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello everyone...
I'm bringing this topic back up because I've had a problem with my solo beat (not the HD, the original) for a little while now, and the right side of the headphones just won't work at all! Before, I could hear something moving inside, but now there's nothing at all...
I've been too lazy until now to open it up, so I haven't done anything and just left it aside...
But now, I'd like to get to it and open it up.
Does anyone know how to open it, specifically from where?
Because the solo isn't like the solo HD, I can't seem to remove the padding by turning it or anything (unless I'm just doing it wrong)...
It breaks my heart to have bought a 150€ headphones (granted, it's not the price of studio ones, thankfully...) and not be able to use it anymore!
Thank you for your precious help.
Best regards.
PS: It is no longer under warranty.

I have a problem too...
I bought a Dr. Dre headset and where you plug the cable into the headset, there's a sort of round piece made of plastic or I don't know what material, but it moves and because of that, when I move the cable, the sound comes out either on the left or on the right but with terrible quality. Can someone help me???

Hi,
Have you tested with different devices?
If you play with the cable, is there no crackling / nothing?
Does it have a potentiometer (volume knob)?
If the cable is defective, you can buy a soldering iron, solder, and an RCA / stereo Jack cable to replace the original cable.

Dismantle, desolder the old one, solder the new one, reassemble.
It would cost less than having it done.
The iron and the solder could always be used for something else...
The outer conductor is the negative,
The white or black = left positive
The red = right positive

Yes, and the problem comes from the headphones. Since the headphones run on batteries, when I bought them, we could hear noise (a little crackling), but now I only hear it from the working side and I have the impression that there is a loose connection inside without being sure, I don't know where this problem comes from.
It can range from very simple for you (poor contact) to impossible or very expensive for a technician (part unavailable or difficult to diagnose and replace without the schematic and a lot of testing),
If you can open it (by removing the cushions, you might see some screws, I don't know, check if it's visible, if you play with the wires and it doesn't work anymore...

Hello
I also had this problem, a headphone that wasn't working.
I simply pulled on the earbud in question to access the 3 screws. With a size 0 screwdriver, you remove them and try to change the position of the wires so that they are not crushed. Put on the headphones with some music (you shouldn't get electrocuted) this way you'll be able to see if there is a difference when you manipulate the wires.
