HELLO FORUM !!

I am in possession of a Philips home DVD player, and my problem is as follows... as soon as I put a CD or DVD in my player, it says "loading no disc" even though it has never done this before; it just started happening suddenly.
Can someone tell me if there is a solution to this problem because even original DVDs won't play anymore with the same "no disc" message? What can I do to resolve this problem? I have tried updating it but nothing works; it still says the same thing.

What should I do??

It’s a Philips DVP 632.

Hello,

Especially do not shake the device upside down... it was not designed for that...
Try instead to clean the lens with a cleaning CD...
Otherwise, as a last resort, update the firmware available from Philips...

I had the same thing happen to me; in fact, I learned that you need to update the codecs for the dvp632 player. So you go to the Philips website, enter dvp632 in the model search area, and there you'll find the file to download and the procedure to update your player. The player doesn't recognize your discs because it has an outdated version. Do it, and you will be able to watch all your movies again.

I had the same problem, so I downloaded the update, but since I put the CD in the drive, it doesn't work anymore. Thank you in advance.

Hello,
I have a Philips DVP5960 DivX player; I've only had it for a week and wanted to watch a DivX file, but now it won't open!
The store where I bought it managed to open it, but now it has the same problem. This is the 5th DivX I’ve bought, and I’m fed up. The first one was a Peekton, and the same thing happened: the player wouldn’t open or would turn on by itself. What should I do?

The warranty? But you wouldn't be asking the question if you still had it.

Do you have children? Someone violent or dealing with violent obsessive-compulsive disorders?

Because I see there's a problem: inside there's something wrong (I know it's not hard to guess, but I thought about it for at least 2 hours!!)

Put it vertically, shake it horizontally, and if you hear a weird noise... peace to its soul.

If it wasn't too expensive, replace it.
