DVD Player Issue (living room) DVDs are getting stuck

Hello,

I have an issue with playing DVDs on the living room DVD player (and in the bedroom, etc ....)
Actually, when I insert a DVD, everything is fine, the playback starts, and during the movie, the image freezes and it's impossible to fast forward or rewind.

Sometimes, the player completely stops as if we pressed STOP and it goes back to the home screen

Even with a brand new DVD...!

We've tried several DVDs, the same problem occurs; changing the DVD player doesn't help either...! On another TV, it's the same situation

And when we put the DVD in the computer, everything is fine, playback is normal, and we can watch the movies in full...

There was a time when we could watch an entire movie on the player without any issues, but for the past few months, we've only managed to watch 2 movies without everything freezing...

Any solutions? Any ideas??

    Hello everyone. So I have a similar issue with my home DVD player (I want to specify, home, not a PC reader).

    Actually, my player freezes on startup, with or without a CD. I have to unplug it several times before it accepts to work. Sometimes it stays on "on," sometimes it goes past the "no-cd" and shows me a nice purple screen....

    Is there anything to be done, or has the player reached the end of its life?
