The screen flashes on startup

Hello,
I have an 82 cm LCD TV that is 4 years old and has been flickering on startup since yesterday, regardless of the display setting, 4:3, 16:9... or the program p1, p2, LV1, 2, and especially HDMI, the connection used with the decoder. The power on/off cycle requires more and more attempts to achieve a stable image.
Can someone inform me if this type of failure is common and easy to fix, or if it’s better to consider a replacement?
Thank you.

Good evening,
Flashes?
Does that mean it makes some sort of attempts (to start? to display?), right from the power on?
In other words, does it behave in the same way with or without broadcast, for example without a source while it is plugged into something other than a "terrestrial" broadcast?
Linux Mageia 1 Firefox 8

the screen can flicker quickly, it transitions from black with no signal to the dominant shade of a blurry image spreading over one-third or half of the surface, then back to black with no signal, the cycle starts again. High voltage is applied followed by a restart, it can be the same or slower, in which case the image is formed, characters are recognizable before switching to the black screen, the cycle begins and continues. The sound remains normal.
As I wrote above, the signal comes from the decoder via the HDMI port, and I tried the unused programs p1, 2..., LV1 is connected to the home theater, still the same flickering, LV2 and 3 are not powered, only their symbol flickers in the corner of the screen.
Receiving TNT SAT via the HDMI port, I varied the screen dimensions, 4:5, 3:2, 16:9, no difference. The problem is therefore internal to the display, regardless of the origin of the signal or the playback format.
The malfunction always occurs at the worst time, but I was about to buy a Sony Reflex camera for about €1000, the sum that would go towards purchasing a new television if the repair proves to be costly.
Thank you for all your information.
I don't quite understand "the dominant tint of the blurred image", but it does indeed seem like a backlight failure.
The chances of a repair being cost-effective are low, due to labor costs.
It may also be quite difficult to compare your TV with a recent model.
What are its brand and model?
