I have a problem with my Phillips 32PFL5606H TV that I bought only 2 months ago! It won't turn on and the red light stays solid. Could it be stuck in standby? Thank you for your replies!
Hello, perhaps you have locked it by mistake check your manual on this matter Otherwise: return to customer service and if repair is necessary, demand a straightforward exchange of the TV (if it malfunctions after only 2 months, this exchange is necessary)

I've reread the manual thoroughly, but nothing works. I'll call customer service on Monday if the problem persists! Thanks for the reply.

Did you replace the remote control batteries with new ones? Are they inserted the right way? Try pressing the '8' button four times in a row. Have you tried unplugging the TV from the power outlet and seeing if it 'wakes up' after plugging it back in? Have you checked the 'paper' manual or its CD-ROM version provided with the TV (the latter contains more information than the paper version)?

So the batteries are new, in the right direction. I tried 8888, no reaction, same for plugging and unplugging, the TV remains unresponsive. No CD version but Paper, nothing works...
