Hello,

for some time now, the fan on my power supply has not been spinning, and I feel like my computer has slowed down since that day.

Is it normal for it not to spin? How can I check that everything is working properly?

Thank you for your help.

Sincerely.

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 8.0

Good evening Dany, and thank you for your quick response.

Also, I have two other fans running, a fairly large one just below the power supply and one on the processor.

Does the power supply fan only start running when the temperature gets too high? Or should it be running continuously?

Thanks again

the one under the power supply is the case fan
the one on the processor is the heatsink fan (it only serves to cool the processor) - commonly called the heatsink -
the one for the power supply must run continuously - otherwise the power supply is no longer cooled

Hey man, is it serious if only one of the fans on my Deepcool LT520 water cooling system isn't running? Is it okay for one of the two fans to run while the other doesn't? I just want to know if it will impact my PC's performance.

Alright, I'll change my power supply as soon as possible.

Thank you for all your information.

If you plug it into another socket on the motherboard, maybe it will work.
