Hello,
I am in the process of installing an HP LaserJet P1102 printer. I inserted the installation CD, followed the instructions provided, then when prompted, I connected the printer to the PC via USB. The installation has been ongoing for a good 10 hours now, and it is still not finished!! Is this normal?
Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 535.2

It’s possible that your installation CD is having issues, I've seen it myself!
You can find a copy of your CD at this link, HERE.
Uninstall everything related to this printer.
Clean your registry and remove all traces left by this uninstallation.
Unplug your USB cable and leave the printer powered on and operational.
Restart your computer and proceed with the installation from the provided link.

Thank you for the link. I tried to install the printer as you mentioned. The device driver installs correctly, but the installation procedure gets stuck at the message:
Firmware downloading: DO NOT TURN THE PRINTER OFF OR UNPLUG IT....
And it's been almost half an hour that the window has been displayed, with no response... -
