PC stuck on Windows startup screen Solved

Question

Hello everyone,
My problem: Yesterday I caught a virus (immon.exe) and I eradicated it by deleting it in safe mode, but since this morning, when I start my PC, it gets stuck on the blue screen (Windows is starting up). I tried starting it in safe mode, but nothing works; it stays stuck there too!

I need help!!!!!!!!

Configuration: Acer aspire T630 Windows XP

If I'm not mistaken, that's what happened to me. If the laptop is off, remove the battery and the power cable, then press the power button for at least 15 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

It worked for me.

To install XP anew, you need to insert the CD and restart, then boot from the CD and leave it until the first page appears. Press enter and then follow the instructions...

Ehh..try to turn it back on and press F10 for the setup and use the arrows to exit "Exit" Afterwards when it turns on normally, set the time and date on your PC ;)

I'm resurfacing the topic, but this is the first article on Google, and since I have a solution:

I too have my Windows XP stuck on the blue screen "Windows is starting up" and then nothing happens.

What I've noticed is that before the blue screen appears, I get a message that seems to display in the background: I then press the ALT + TAB key combination and switch to another window that is hidden by the blue Windows screen. That's when the hidden window shows "The system could not log on." A click on OK and then entering the password resolves the issue!

I should mention that my Windows XP runs on VMware Workstation.
