camera battery not charging Solved

Question

Hello!
I have a problem with my camera (KODAK M522)
I just received it from France (it's new) and when I want to charge the battery, nothing happens; the camera works because it's plugged in, but the charge indicator doesn't light up.
I checked on the Kodak website, they say:

"If the battery is completely drained and the camera won't turn on, charging may take up to 10 hours."

The battery is a Kodak KLIC-7006 3.7V <740mAh

If someone can help me, thank you in advance!!

Hello!!  Great news! After going to 3 or 4 stores, a salesperson had the good idea to slightly "take out" the plugs and voilà, the device turned on!

Check if there is any protection (plastic film) on the battery contacts."

What I meant to say is that the device works when plugged in, but the battery doesn't charge :)  And no, there is no plastic film :S

So the power supply is working.

There is a contact issue, or the charging circuit is dead. Or the battery is toast. On a new device, that’s surprising. But anything can happen.
Or maybe there’s a trick to start the charging!!!!

Thank you for your response. I just sent an email to Kodak, but since I am in New Caledonia, I doubt they will be able to do anything...

They should at least be able to respond to you.

I did not find a user manual on the KODAK website.
Take a look at your manual.
There might be a tip to start the charge! ! !
