Hello,
Right now, when I download a file with Firefox 6.0, my video or audio files automatically play (strangely, installation files do not). Is there a way to prevent this? It would be nice to find a solution because sometimes I have downloaded videos that automatically start playing when I'm away or when I'm watching another video (which then interrupts the video I'm currently watching, and it's very annoying).
Thanks in advance for your valuable help!
PS: This problem has been happening since I had to reinstall Firefox due to a mishap in about:config.

Hello,
I suggest you uninstall Firefox and perform a clean reinstallation.
Before uninstalling it, you can back up your bookmarks, open Firefox, bookmarks, show all bookmarks, import and backup, export to HTML format..., save it to the desktop.
During the uninstallation of Firefox, agree to uninstall everything, check:
remove all my files.
After the uninstallation, restart the PC, then go to: C\program files or program files(x86) or programs and delete the mozilla Firefox folder.
Then run --> CCleaner (as administrator for Vista and Windows 7) for a cleanup in Windows, applications, and registry.
Install --> Firefox, then to restore your bookmarks, open Firefox, bookmarks, show all bookmarks, import and backup, import from HTML...., next, look in: desktop, select bookmarkbackups.html.
Human beings are at their best when things are at their worst.
