Hello,
When I go on can you run it, the site only detects an Intel HD family graphics card in my PC, whereas I have an NVIDIA GT550M... Do you know what the problem might be? Thanks!
Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 534.30

in my opinion, it's because of optimus (a technology that switches to the 550 when the demands are heavy, and relies on the Intel when we're not doing much (for energy-saving reasons))
a silly thing to do for testing, launch a game, hit alt tab, and run can you run it? (by the way, I think this site is a bit too simplistic for the recommended configurations, some graphics cards do not qualify as recommended even though they are more powerful than those that do qualify) -
Thank you!
But this story is still annoying...
My computer has a very good configuration, it's just the GPU that's a bit weaker. And if I wanted to use "can you run it?" it was precisely to see if I needed to make big concessions to play demanding games (Crysis 2 for example).-
Is the graphics card a bit weak? A GT550M?
In Crysis 2, there are several detail levels (3 to be precise), you should be able to run it at the 3rd level at 1366*768 without too much trouble.
However, beware, since the 1.9 update, there's a DirectX 11 option and a 4th detail mode if this is activated.
But my numbers speak for themselves (my gaming desktop, everything on the 3rd detail level with vertical sync at 1920*1080 was running at an average of 50fps. With DirectX 11 enabled, it drops to 30, and if I add the 4th detail level, it even goes down to 15).
So the moral is, in Crysis 2, do not enable DirectX 11, stick to 9. -
