Hello,

briefly and precisely, how to install on a Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit a printer shared by a machine running Windows XP SP3 Professional 32-bit?

To add a shared machine, I've always done it by accessing the machine sharing the printer over the network and double-clicking the printer, and abracadabra, it's done. This time, I get this error: Operation could not be completed (error 0x00000709). Make sure the name you entered is correct and the printer is connected to the network

What is the procedure?

Thanks to the community

P.S.: On the XP machine, I added the x64 drivers but still get the same error message.

Configuration: Windows 7 x64 / Firefox 4

Hello,

I had the same problem, but this happened when I removed the shared network printer from the server and tried to install it again, that's when I received this error message. I tested what you mentioned earlier but I still get the error message that appears when I try to install the printer.

Thank you for your help.
