Hello. On Emule, at the bottom of the page, I receive the following message: The traceroute has failed too often, so the USS is disabled. What does this mean and what risks are involved? THANK YOU

Hi,
have you at least done some research???
The USS is the detection speed "for connection regulation." It's somewhat like QoS but for eMule so that during downloads you can upload and play online without too much latency.
The traceroute is a "tool" that is often used in networking. It allows you to see what hardware the packet passes through (layer three hardware on the OSI model).
As for the risks, according to the charter we don't really talk much about eMule (illegality), and eMule is a risk.
Good luck.

The way it's used does not characterize this software (many files under the GNU license or simply unprotected are shared thanks to eMule).
There are much simpler sharing platforms (for almost all media). And if this platform is missing, there's still FTP. Files under GNU licenses are not accessible only through P2P, so why download them on this platform?
I clearly understand that it's possible to exchange data that doesn't fall under various rights, but some platforms are still better suited for that exchange.
There you go.
