Hercules subwoofer issue

Hello,

I bought 2 speakers and a Hercules subwoofer model XPS 2.120 gloss.

I don't understand because when I connect the subwoofer alone it makes a pretty weird sound, and when I connect it to the speakers the sound is not necessarily loud and the subwoofer is not audible.

What should I do?
