Hello,
I have a problem with a driver I can't find, it's the "PCI memory control" in my device manager that appears with a question mark.
So, I don't know if it has any relation, but I have no sound.
Thanks for helping me

This problem comes from Intel's turbo memory for Vista.
Windows XP does not support this system (under Vista it mainly speeds up startup), so there are no drivers available for this OS, no need to look for one!
However, Lenovo has published a driver that disables it. In reality, it installs a “virtual” driver for the turbo memory, so you will no longer have the exclamation mark in the Device Manager.
I should note that this driver works on any computer brand, not just Lenovo (I have a Toshiba portable and it works without issue). A driver essential for anyone downgrading their PC from Windows Vista to Windows XP.
The link: https://support.lenovo.com/fr/en/?filename=mobiles/7kip05ww.exe
To install:
Click the executable; it will install the driver files at the location "X:\DRIVERS\WIN\Turbodis", X being the drive letter of your main hard drive (by default "C:\").
Then go to the Device Manager, right-click on "PCI Memory Controller" and then "Update Driver...".
Then "Browse my computer for driver software" (or "Install from a list or specific location").
Click "Browse" and point to the previously specified folder ("X:\DRIVERS\WIN\Turbodis", X being the main drive letter, default "C:\").
The installation of the driver should start.
You will then have a device named "INTEL(R) Hardware Reserved for Future Use" under "System devices" in the Device Manager.
And there you go!

I have read your response about the Lenovo "virtual" memory turbo driver. But the link no longer works. Where can I find this driver? Thank you.
