Error message 0x80072EFD for Windows Update

1 _ Open the command prompt as an administrator

2 _ Type netsh winhttp reset proxy

3 _ Press the enter key

Try connecting to msn or downloading updates via windows update or windows defender, it will work (for some).

Good evening! I changed my PC and moved. The internet connection has been restored and works, but MSN doesn't work. I downloaded Windows Live Messenger, but I can't connect: the error is on "main ports" number 80072efd. So I looked online and tried lots of things, but nothing works. First, I tried disabling the firewall, but that didn't help. I went into Internet options to find the "I use a proxy" box to uncheck it, but I couldn't find it. Then I went to tools on MSN, then options, and finally connection, and there I see a little diagram; it says: "you are not connected to Service.NET Messenger" and "you are connected to the Internet via a wired network."
PLEASE HELP ME!!!
